Question about the Flat-Rape system:

So if a guy says that he had a 150% efficiency rate today, does that mean that he worked 8 “Clock Hours”, but he was able to “Flag” 12 hours?

In a nut shell.

If a a brake change takes 1 hour, but you take 30mins to do it you still get paid 1hour for it.

Yep! Or if you have a job that is supposed to take 30 mins but turns into a disaster and you spend 3 hours fixing it, you will only get paid for those 30 minutes.

The flat rate system has its pro’s and con’s.

So, does 150% efficiency mean that you worked 8 hours but flagged 12? Or does it mean something else? When my time comes, I’d rather work Flat-Rape because it’s individual. My 30 minute job screw up that takes me 9 hours to fix, isn’t going to piss off my team mates. But I’d rather work Team Flat-Rape because my teammates would be all the more willing to help me out since they get paid off of my work.

IDK. Flat-Rape needs to go away. It only helps the shop owner.
