Well I have been in the market for a new car. I have it narrowed down to a Chevy Malibu LTZ or a Subaru Legacy Premium. Might have a look at the Honda Accord…
From what I have been reading both cars have fair ratings and they are the size of a car that I need for me and my family. (OK….i am a little worried about GM with all the recalls) I really like that idea of a all wheel drive car with the Subaru.
I did however find the maintenance requirements for the Subaru online and they only note to inspect the CVT fluid and the differential fluid. I called the dealer and they noted that the CVT and the differential fluid are lifetime and don’t need to be replaced unless you tow with the car. Well this is a concern for me. I keep cars until 200000 miles and I have a feeling that I would need to replace that fluid at least once in that time.
Also…any opinions on the CVT system VS a regular auto transmission like in the Chevy Malibu?
