Question about replace one of the brake lines

Hi guys, I have a 2008 Nissan Sentra 2.0 Automatic with 130K miles. Yesterday I hit a curve and damaged my front passenger brake line. If I replace this line (A, please see picture) and if air got into this piece (part B, please see picture), will it damage my whole brake system? and is it easy to get all that air out? Please help, any comment is appreciated. Thanks,

The actual replacement of the line in itself is quite simple; buy new line, put on appropriate attachments, flare the ends. The problem you will have is that this line will introduce air into the ABS hydraulic pump. It will most likely require the use of a scan tool to command the ABS pump to cycle and bleed the air out of the system.

You would need to bleed the wheel that the line goes to at minimum. You might have to do as Wrench Turner suggested but unless you empty the whole unit you should be ok.

Thanks guys, I will get the part and try it out tomorrow. Another question is should I bleed out all 4 wheels since the broken line is left opened overnight and observe moister? Or it would be ok to bleed only one line? Any way, I will give it a shot tomorrow and update. Thanks all.

I would bleed all four. 🙂

At the age it is it wouldn’t hurt to flush some new fluid through it anyway. I would bleed all 4 wheels to be safe.
