I have all new caliper brackets, bushings and caliper pins. I greased all 4 of them with silicone grease and 1 of them doesn’t bounce back when I press on it. It just sinks. When I press down on it, it feels like it is being drawn into the hole, like a suction. It moves smooth when I slide it, it just doesn’t bounce. Is that ok, or is there a trick to this? I tried starting over and cleaning the pin and the bracket hole with brake cleaner, but that didn’t work.

that is usefully a sign of them going bad,,, but I would take them out and wipe them all down and see if you see any niks or anything that looks like welding splatter or if the whole is uneven… both on the pin and the hole… and try greasing it up again and try it again… if they are new you cant say much about the were on the pads… ussly what you will see is more were on the inside vs the outside… they will be different…
if you greased that one first your tip of the grease could of been old and thicker and could of done same type of thing… but you shouldnt feel like you have sand paper in it when your pushing it in.. that would be scraping dirt or the sides
