Hey guys. I’m building a chevy beretta race car. It had a blown up quad four in the car when I got it and I had a Pontiac grand am that i took them engine out of to put in the beretta. The engine ran great in the grand am the transmission went bad so I swapped the engine over now it wont start. It cranks fine but it wont fire. Ive tried 2 computers (both computers are used) ive swapped wiring harnesses, checked my coils and all seems fine. Does anyone have any ideas as to what my issue may be? Thanks

Make sure the computer did not send signal to a main relay to activate the fuel pump and check the pcv. Wath the video about this main relay. Check the batteries too.

Swap the whole coil pack assembly or just the ignition module. I’ve been through this before with quad 4s as I’ve swapped many of them between my brothers GTZ and my friends GTZ. They were blowing engines every couple months. Theres a difference between the ignition modules. Anytime I swapped a chevy quad for a pontiac quad, I had to change the module. It could be a difference in the year, but I’ve always had to do it before it would fire up. Good luck.
