I have a blackout vinyl strip for the trunk lip on my 2013 Camaro.

I will wash and dry the area before application, and the instructions say to use rubbing alcohol to prep the area before application.

The two questions I have are:

      1. Would it be better to use a product such as Dupli-Color Grease and Wax Remover be a better solvent to prep the surface?

      2. The graphic has the Chevrolet bowtie cut out; should I start in the middle, top or edge and work my way along using a plastic spreader to prevent any air pockets.

I am going to cut the release paper out from the bowtie and outline so the graphic will lay flat and use masking tape to attach prior to adhering to the surface for proper alignment.

In the past I have applied pin striping on other vehicles, but never anything this large and I do not wish to have the graphic peel off over time.

I would follow the instructions on how to install it.(where to start)
You could use the dupli color grease and wax remover.
