Hi Eric or anyone else,
I have an issue with my rear windshield seal on my CR-V. Some jerk decided to vandalize my car and pushed the seal on the rear windshield so far in that it is impossible to take out without removing the windshield. I have attached three images of the damaged area so hopefully you guys can take a look at them. I took the vehicle to the Honda dealer where I purchased it from and showed it to the service manager and he handed the job over to the shop foreman who told me that they can repair it under warranty and they need to order parts. I even took the vehicle to a local body shop and they told me to let Honda perform the repair since it’s under warranty. I’m bringing the car back to the dealer this Friday for them to replace the seal. My question is can I trust the dealer to do this kind of repair and are Honda technicians trained to do windshield work like this or should I insist that they bring in a glass company for help? Also, if any of you have worked in a Honda or Acura dealer and performed any repair like this I would really appreciate your insight. Thanks.
