      2007 Ford E250, 132,000 km 5.4 L V.8

      Problem:

      When I would accelerate I would hear a grinding noise coming from the front passenger side of my vehicle.

      Strategy:

      I disconnected the battery, removed the timing belt and checked all of the pulleys on the engine block. I noticed that the tensioner pulley had a about 1/2 inch of play in it. Subsequently. I went out and bought a new tensioner pulley and the grinding noise was eliminated when I installed it.

      Proactive:

      Once I have more money available. I will go ahead and change the timing belt, idler pulley and all the other pulleys to avoid a potential break down based on operational wear.

      Thanks again Eric. I would not have been able to do this without your video on how to diagnose noises.

            Thanks again Eric. The timing belt will be no problem to manage. I have the routing diagram on the vehicle already !!!! Keep up the good work !
