“To [Prius] or not to [Prius]? That is the [over-used quote from Shakespeare.] Seriously, what is your take on these vehicles? (I didn’t get one by choice so much as a 2005 Prius became available when I needed a new ride but I have no complaints.)

Man, those interiors are gorgeous. Perhaps the lowly, boring Prius exists to make real cars seem even more beautiful. Can’t say that I don’t give a crap about the car I drive because it happens to be a Prius. I would love to have the 1957 Chevy my Dad had when I was young, not to mention the ’62 Bel Air or the Chevy Nova my Grandmother had. I was, however, lucky enough to briefly own a 1968 Chevy Impala with a 357 engine and 4 – barrel carburetor before the harmonic balancer loosened up and fell off (along with various other parts). Ironically, cars were simpler/easier to work on than they are now but sadly, I had no ability repair that vehicle at that time.
