No. I would use Nissan’s OEM coolant.

There is alot of info out there regarding coolants and there chemical make up.

I HAVE FOUND OUT WITH SOME SEARCHING THAT THE GOLDEN LABEL ON PRESTONE THAT WILL MIX WITH ANY TYPE ANTIFREEZE WOULD BE A SAFER WAY TO GO IF YOUR NOT SURE OF WHATS IN YOUR VEHICLE NOW

I wouldn’t mix the green Prestone coolant with any other coolant seeing as the ‘green’ mix has 2-EHA which makes that coolant a Dex-clone.

http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=cfrm A very education place to go regarding vehicle lubrication.

I used it in my 96 caprice since it lacks some chemical that dex is special for. I forget what it is off hand but whats a good coolant for my car?

The 50/50 prestone mix is fine to use.I usually flush the original stuff and then use the prestone.but you don’t need to do that if you are topping off the over flow
bottle. But I would hope that given the age of the vehicle you would be doing a flush and fill. good luck.

if you’re in a pinch and you’re in the middle of nowhere and the closest place only has the green stuff then go for it, otherwise i would stick to oem lubricants.
