Some newer cars require a computer reset of the windows whenever the battery is disconnected. Check your owners manual to see if that advice applies to your vehicle. I had a similar problem with my Lexus and I just needed to do a reset of the windows befo

So based on your analysis, it’s an electrical problem and not a mechanical one?

Sounds electrical to me, and i dont think a cavalier has a computer reset for the windows.

awesome video, exact switch i was cleaning too. I did clean it again and i have motor function in one of the windows, but the motor will stop working and the window gets stuck, but the motor works fine when the window isnt installed._x000D_

Cleaning the switch may not be enough, I would check it’s output as I show in this video._x000D_

update – i got the right front window working now, i cleaned the master switch and greased the regulator._x000D_

the back right window still doesnt move and the door switch doesnt move it either._x000D_

You can always check the switch output at the motor connectors as I showed in the video, you can do it with a regular test light instead of a Power Probe, if you don’t have a signal at the motor the switch is the most likely cause._x000D_
