Sounds like a problem with the switch in the driver’s door. Some quality time with a voltmeter would prove or disprove it. http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/Wd should get you any wiring diagrams you need.

Also, another option is to try a junk yard for the switch if you’re a novice with a voltmeter. Like that it’s a quick cheap test.
Maybe remove that switch panel, everything still hooked up, hit “down” on the switch while moving the wires around a little. Try that first.
But if not…
You could also carefully disassemble that particular switch, clean up all contacts with light sanding and maybe electrical cleaner. Maybe carefully pull the tabs a bit to ensure contact. You should also re-lubricate that switch. Not sure what is best for that though. I think I just used ball joint grease but I know something is better.One thing – if you do go repositioning tabs to ensure contact, once the switch is together and you plug it in to test, make sure you have the key ready to switch “off” in case you bent them too much. Hard to say for sure without seeing the switch in person taken apart.
