I’ve got a 2000 Honda Prelude, the power window on the driver side has stopped working, it has also stopped controlling the passenger side window, everything else works fine, ex. power mirror, power door locks, heated seats, stereo speakers, etc.

I was able to higher the window by applying 12volts directly to the power window motor, this tells me the motor and regulator are working fine.

I then began testing the power switch (female side) coming from the wiring harness (from the door jam), manual says I should have 2 positive wires, one that is “Hot”(F16 white/yellow wire) and the other one that only measures 12volts when the vehicle’s ignition switch is on the II position.(F19 green/white wire) I don’t have 12volts going to the green/white wire, ground wires all all fine.

Instead of fixing the “open wire” most likely located at the door jam would I be able to just jump F16 to F19?

Okay dont read what I said with the passenger rear and driver side rear window words in it phone auto corrected I didn’t actually mean to say that take what I said about the relay and the multiplex systems and main controllers and follow the wire colors I was talking about I’m sorry for the auto correct confusion

Like you had mentioned before if you connect green and white which is ignition on wire which is the signal wire to the always on f16 wire and the passenger windows works that would mean the multiplex box computer is bad if you connect them wires and the driver side windows stops working like the passenger side window then there would be a fault in the computer chip circuit if you do that and you hear both window motors always on then it could cause a short in the window motors so actual you can start there try to jump always on f16 white yellow with ignition wire green white also know as the signal wire f19 could show you the problem check for continuity on the black wire while your there check the resistance and ohms if this dosent help I will try to explain better without auto correct were to go from there

Presently the door panel is off, master switch/multiplex control unit is removed.
Before continuing on I think I should find out why the (F19 green and white) wire has no voltage, it is fed directly from the #15 20amp fuse.
If I repair/get voltage at f19 and the driverside window is still not working then most definately it is the master switch which also has the multiplex control unit built in.

Interesting there no voltage at the f19 green and white wire while the ignition key is set to on
