my manual says use Dexron II, but as many of you may know which I didn’t, it has been discontinued and the dealer says use Dexron III, but I

have several unopened bottles of full synthetic Dexron VI in my garage; would this make an adequate substitute?

this gets to be a confusing subject. sometimes you can use this with that. I believe you can do III over II but as for other mixtures not sure. I understand
about the new left over.I would consult the owners manual and go from there.what ever you do flush out the old and use all new. good luck and keep us
            posted.

And power steering systems should now use p/n 89020661 (89021183 in Canada) Power Steering Fluid.

That seems to be your correct answer C8-)

That was a great read. I’d like to ask what doesn’t seem to be asked yet, what type of vehicle are we talking about?
