Power steering fluid just started to leak out of what looks like the left side boot of the power steering rack, it is cracked. But it even possible for p/s fluid to leak out of there? I’m just a guy with a wrench and next to nothing with automotive intelligence. Advice would be awesome!

      Thanks,

      Joey

rack needs replacement. theres a seal leaking. 🙁

Thanks for the reply. I don’t have enough dough or patience or the will to drive the Van anymore so I wont get that rack replaced. I’m going to look at a used Acura El on Thursday, and if I get it, i’m going to put the Van in storage until I have enough dough, patience, and the will to drive it again.

          Cheers

+1 on needing a power steering rack. Trying to rebuild it isn’t really the way to go. Good luck with the Acura.

find the exact spot the leak is dry it off the best you can go get yourself a can of Flex Seal and spray the leak give it a few days to cure and see if its fixed 😀
