wondering if someone can help me out. Im trying to put power seats in my truck. the seats come out of a volvo s40 everything fits nicely. the problem is the seats have three wires a possitive a negative, and another wire i have no clue about. Its black with a white strip. I hooked up the positive and neg. nothing. I thought maybe it was a ground witch didnt make since to me but i tryed it anyway nothing again. is it possible its a remote wire of some kind any help would be nice. thanks and by the way i know they work they worked when i took them out.

I would go to the how to forum. There’s a free chilton’s manual on there in a thread. That may help you out.
I’m not sure if you will be able to use those seats because many power seets have some sort of control unit that helps ‘memorize’ the seat positions and to sometimes keep the seat from coming off track. Sometimes these control units are part of the seat assembly but they may also need to communicate with other control units in the vehicle for things like seat memory settings. The wire your referring to may be a data line and not power or ground.
