      While I was checking the transmission fluid on a automatic transmission on a 2003 Chevy Impala. I was going from park reverse neutral drive third second first when I got the first it was making like a whining noise what possibly could this be any suggestions or thoughts?

        If it only happened once it may not be an issue. If it happens all the time, there could be an internal transmission problem. More info in this article.

          it happens every time i put it in that frist gear i noticed the fluid was slightly low and it was light brown.
