This is not really a repair question but it is possible that you can get a defective battery. Because I replaced it with one from the dealership. The honda one and now all the sudden it doesn’t turn the engine over it just a clicks one time. I jumped started the old battery. And the engine started so that’s why I replaced the battery. But really could the starter motor could be bad all the sudden. Or things like the ignition switch or relay. I never have had this problem with this car so it’s just really weird.

You could have gotten a bad battery. If you jumped the car
and it started Then all is good from the battery on.

Im thinking it could be the starter solenoid is bad because i get a click only one time sound. When turning the key.

Well I removed the starter assembly today and went to a autozone to have it checked and turns out it was bad. I even took it apart and looked at the brushes and commutator and they did look pretty worn. I wanted to test the resistance on the solenoid fellowing the factory service manual but i couldn’t because I don’t have a DVOM. So im sure its the starter motor Assembly well I hope so.

It is possible to get bad batteries From new, it is not an uncommon thing especially with a battery that is not fitted into many vehicles the supplier may have had it sitting in stock for 6 12 18 months etc.

Few months ago we had a 64 plate come into the dealership from the factory and the battery in it was defective so it’s not unheard of.

If you haven’t already pick up a cheap multimeter Ideally you want a battery tester to measure CCA but a multimeter can be used, test the voltage with everything off ideally ready 11.8 to about 12.6 then jump the car with either a slave or another car and test the alternator is charging the battery looking for about 13.8 volts may not be on the money as long as it’s below 15V and above 13v you shouldn’t have any issues.
