I have a 2003 Chevy cavalier with a 2.2L engine with the GM 4T40E transmission. when i go to take off it has poor acceleration and it will shift A little rough. no check engine light, i have check the throttle position sensor coolant temp sensor and all the sensors related to the transmission i also checked the fluid level and color it is red and level is good. I also did a compression test and all the cylinders were very close together.i also checked for vacuum leaks. Any ideas?

both of those could be linked to mass air sensor. gm uses mass air to adjust trans line pressure and a bad/dirty mass air will also cause drivablility issues. try cleaning it (super easy, good place to start)

It does not have a mass air flow sensor
