I know this is automotive but I wasn’t sure where to post this

      I have a 1994 xlt snomobile 2 stroke 3 cylinder

I ran seafoam through it and it made it run great ( it was bogging down on the bottom end) after running for a while I trusted it it was running actually quite nice so I thought I’ll let it run and ill go up the road to feed the horse maybe 100 yards up the road I came back and it had died and would start and run on what sounded like one cylinder for a short time. I pulled the plugs and looked at it and found a milky white substance in the cylinder and plugs head gasket maybe? I don’t know what else it would be?

O also before I put the sea foam in it the RPMs liked to climb by themselves and if I turned the choke on it brought them back down

          Air or water cooled?

I did some research and it sounds like that milky build up is normal for seafoam in 2 strokes. Try changing your plugs and switching back to regular fuel/oil mix.

What about the oil injection? And it is water cooled

Well, if its oil injected you dont have to mix. Just put fresh fuel in, or you could try to keep burning the seafoam. maybe clean off the plugs with some gas?

I cleaned up the plugs and put some gas in but it’s like 85 octane I wonder if a higher octane would help it

Probably not, unless the motor calls for it. Higher octane fuels are for high compression motors.

Well I’ll see what I can do with it

This is what I found if I clean the plugs and put fuel in the cylinders it will start right up and die after a sec so I kept doing this and most of the white gunk seems to be clearing up even gone sometimes but it still won’t start and run on its own. So I took the fuel line off and it smells/looks like gas but not much was coming out of the line. So I looked closer and just behind the gas shutoff valve there is a white thing a couple inches long I’m thinking its a fuel filter maybe its plugged up any ideas?

Can you send pictures? I would say you have a carburetor issue, take the carbs off, clean them out, check all the lines/replace filters, and adjust the carbs.

What’s the best way to adjust them on a triple? I know on a dirt bike you adjust the idle screw but how do I adjust three of them

Its a really complicated process, so I would start with cleaning everything, and adjust down the road if you need to.

Ok I have never tore into a carb but ill look at some diagrams and stuff and maybe check it out

Yea, carbs aren’t too bad, just from what I understand, if you don’t get the carbs synced right, the motor will tear itself apart.
