For the tight/stiff gas pedal, you may want to try to clean the throttle plate with throttle cleaner as varnish can build up there. Hopefully, the sticking at highway speeds will be alleviated by the cleaning of the plate (but I have not experienced this particular issue). However, don’t remove the throttle body to clean the throttle plate.

As far as your loose throttle cable, I have not dealt with that issue before. Maybe another subscriber can offer advice on that.
Hope this helps get you started.

              Good luck.

ok i check it out just a little while ago and the with the throttle cable if i hold the throttle all the way open the cable slides off now i am trying to figure that out because i opening the throttle with my hands to see if that’s why the pedal is tight but its not that it moves easy by hand but when i use my foot it’s tight my friend came over with his car its a 99 honda civic and he took a pick of the spring on his pedal and the spring on my pedal there in different places and if i put my foot down all the way it gets stuck and then i do it again and it doesn’t so if anybody has any advice on a sticking gas pedal please feel free to let me know thank you all
