      Howdy y’all
I’m back lol. 96 explorer 4.0 manual trans, i had the engine, tranny and all required components took out doing oil seals and gaskets and sh*t. I put it all back together, but couldn’t get the tranny to slide the last 1/8 to 1/4 inch and I pulled it together with the bolts. I’m positive I was in the pilot bearing when I pulled it together, but now the clutch doesn’t release. I’ve bled the holy hell out of the clutch, the master, I even hooked up a siphon pump and sucked all the fluid through until no more bubbles appeared. With the engine running, it won’t go into gear, if you bypass the safety switch and start it in gear with the pedal to the floor, it moves under starter power.
Someone please tell me I didn’t bind up the tranny and I can fix this without dropping it again!

I’ve never seen a clutch job done correctly that needed to ” pulled it together with the bolts “
          You got it wrong.
Sorry no good news, best course of action would be to drop the tranny, inspect/ replace any/all of the damaged components and reassembly.

              My mistake..
              When I read:
” i had the engine, tranny and all required components took out doing oil seals and gaskets and sh*t. ”
” I was in the pilot bearing when I pulled it together, but now the clutch doesn’t release. I’ve bled the holy hell out of the clutch, the master ”
I took it as you were into the clutch/pressure plate also.
              Regardless …
It still sounds as it is bound up.

Nah, you’re good. Just giving you a hard time.
Only thing I could find with that tranny was i left the pressure plate bolts hand tight and they backed themselves out a little bit, so we’re gonna throw it back together today and hope to god it works.
