I hate it when you try to help people repair there vehicles but they don’t want to pay you what the job is worth.WTF if they took it to the shop or dealership they would be paying way more than I charge.

When it comes to friends/family, I tell them what parts they need and tell them to go buy them and leave them in the car. I don’t quote a labor price. If they insist I just say what ever you think is fair as I don’t expect anything.

I would make it very clear that you appreciate the business he has sent you, but you decide who pays and how much. That’s just flat out being taken advantage of. Always hold the keys till you get FULL payment and have an agreed amount before you start repairs.

Tough call. If the small jobs he hasn’t paid you for yet were small enough, might be worth it to consider it a cost of doing business, like advertising. That way the spice keeps flowing lol.
