I have a problem with a 98 Lexus Gs300,while driving the rpm drop from 2500 to around 800rpm (Basically idle)scanned the car,got codes P0120 & P1120.I used a scanner and the car in KOEO state to see the live TPS % , when the pedal was pressed there was no change in TPS % on the scanner, we changed the TPS sensor but the result is the same, after clearing these codes the car responds to pedal movement , but only for a minute or two then return to non responsive.Did a resistance check on sensors and the seem to be ok.
Any advice were i may be going wrong

Your ohm test did not find the dead spot in your throttle position sensor. B)

There are not too many choices there. Throttle sensor, electronic throttle body, wiring and computer. Next step is to make sure the throttle plate is clean and not sticking in the bore.

          See if these help

The funny thing is I cleared the code & the code came right back as if it was not cleared

That’s because the problem was not fixed.
