Another thread in another branch of the forum was about where to get the software dealerships use to look up part numbers. So I thought we could collect our online resources and put a sticky on it for future reference.

Since I’m doing a lot in Japanese cars, my resources focus primarily on those.

For Asian marques in general, I use

      http://www.epc-data.com/

A very good resource for part numbers, but not the drawings you can find at the dealership. It contains part numbers for US and EU Toyotas, Nissans, Hondas, Lexus, Mitsubishis, Kias, and Hyundais.

A great reference for Toyotas is the ToyoDIY part reference at

      http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/

Very nice reference with all the drawings as well. Covers Toyotas, Lexus, and Scions. There’s also a very nifty tech write up section on how do do specific things.

An additional resource supplied by Toyota and Lexus is either

      http://www.lexus-tech.eu/

      or

      http://www.toyota-tech.eu/

Those two contain the original repair manuals in pdf format under the repair section. They are behind a paywall, yet the fee is 3 € per hour, and you can download them as well.

      For nissans, there’s

      http://nissan4u.com/parts/

It contains the part numbers and quite a few technical drawings as well. Very nice

The same exists for subarus, namely here

      http://opposedforces.com/parts/

About the same as the Nissan site, very good!
