Hi Eric, I am about to change the park brake shoes on a 2000 nm 2.8 ltr turbo deseil mitubishi, is there anything to watch out for, or be careful of. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks mate Johnno

one thing i have experience with changing parking brake shoes on ford trucks like F-250s ect is they can be a pain, and it can be good to have a nice reliable set of tools to do the job so it makes the job easier and in some cases safer, good tools make life easier, i have not much experience with Mitsubishi but i can say tools make life easier.

also some surfaces with metal too metal contact with moving parts it can be a good idea too lubricate with antiseeze grease too prevent rusting and squeaking, clean out the entire thing buy spraying it off with brake clean too keep dust down, dont want too breath in the dust, just be carful not too get grease on the shoes or drum, its a good idea too replace any broken or warn out hardware with new while you have it apart

ooh, also taking picture helps, before you take it apart take a picture of the assembly so you know what it looks like when you go to put it back together.
