OK, I’m a bit confused here about the Parasitic draw test that I’m trying to do, I have done everything Eric said to do on his video and what I’m getting are two differnt readings, 0.99-1.00 and/or a 0.01 miliamps.
I will touch the same spot on the battery cable and terminal and sometimes get either reading, or it will be at 0.99 then all of a sudden drop down to 0.00 without movement on the meter leads… Could it be the mulitimeter? I’m certain the Inova brand meters are of fair quality.

Best way to do the PD test is with “continuity”. An initial connection to the battery might be charging capacitors etc and create a spike initial draw which is misleading. Hook your ammeter in parallel with the negative cable, let things stabilize for a moment, then remove the cable leaving the ammeter in the circuit. This will be your best PD measurement.
That’s one of the nice things about the old analog meters, you could follow a varying reading, which you can’t do with those digitty things.
Instead of the meter try using a small bulb, like a dash bulb. Those draw like 300mA and should give you a nice visual light show of what is going on. And if you draw too much current by engaging the starter it won’t smoke the meter, the light will just turn on full bright. Sometimes the simpler tools are by far the best.
