Sorry for the long sentence i wanted to get all the details and i was sort of in a rush. I’ve only gotten one code for oxygen sensors but for some reason they appeared more than once when i checked them but they were both the same and the codes were P0140

Would you mind posting the codes that you’re getting?

I have 99 Maxima and I can tell you that Nissan original cat would last much longer than 100K miles.

His is how I would approach the problem – Check the O2 sensor connection – this is the one is located right after the cat.

In my experience P:0420 usually is a bad O2 sensor, bad cat., O2 sensor connector problem (which can throw other codes), or big hole in the exhaust system. Since you already replaced the O2 sensor, I would say go a

If you have a scanner that reads live data then you can look at the O2 readings while the engine is running.

if the speed sensor is not working the car is probably cutting fuel_x000D_
back. that may have something to do with the cat code. I would_x000D_
                                  concentrate on the speed sensor.
