My 97′ Camry recently presented with a P0450 OBD code (EVAP pressure sensor) . Over the past few weeks I’ve noticed a faint smell of gas when exiting the car (very infrequent). I’m planning on replacing the vapor pressure sensor, but could there be a bigger problem at hand (given the smell)?

Fuel cap on tight? O-ring good on fuel filler cap?

Yes for both. Quick update: just last week my filler neck started leaking. The check engine light has been off for quite some time and has yet to return. Maybe the filler neck was causing the check engine light? Anyway, as long as I’m not smelling (or leaking) fuel I’m happy.

That would definitely cause the smell and light. I’d get it fixed soon though. Wouldn’t want fuel vapors escaping near any heat sources.
