2006 Accord V-6 auto..getting P0108 – MAP sensor, but no CEL.
Researched, but other than taking a VOM to the sensor (which usually comes back fine in most cases) or replacing ($70), has anyone actually figured out this one?
I hate throwing parts at an issue like this. (Even though I am guilty of that with my power steering pump – it was the $4 return line hose that was the problem, not the pump. )
The only symptom that I see is that it sometimes takes several seconds of cranking to get it to run. If I crank it for a really quick burst, that used to start it on the first revolution every time, it stumbles and dies. I know that on my large diesel the PCM will not start the engine till the 3rd revolution to checks for proper cam, fuel pump and crank position sensors all agreeing that everything is turning as intended. But I do not recall this being the way this car acted years ago. It hasn’t gotten worse, it just been this way for a while.
tossing this one to the wind to see which way it blows!
