Hello all, have an issue and trying to figure out the best way to test the air/fuel sensor (upstream O2) on my 2010 Subaru legacy with a p0051 CEL. The light came on while on my way to work after about 30mins of driving, and actually kind of scared the crap out of me only because on newer Subaru’s the CEL comes on with the brake light, cruise control and traction control flashing. Thought it was serious before I had the code pulled at the local Subaru dealer later that day. The guy there cleared it and said if it came back again the sensor/wiring needs to be tested. Sure enough the next day on my way back to work in almost the exact same spot (30mins of driving) it came back on. Now I am looking to see if replacing the sensor is the most likely repair and the best way to test it. No performance issues. Heard I can test it with a multimeter, thoughts and suggestions? Thanks in advance.
