Chevy aveo 2009 with a 1.6l ecotec engine.

Tldr: can codes p0013 and p0014 (mostly p0013 as this seems to be the main one) be caused by the timing belt being installed 1 tooth off? I reallu hope not

Did some repairs recently, long story short, the a/c pump ripped off the block at one point. In order to fix the a/c i had to take apart the engine enough to replace the piece that the pump mounted to, which is the aluminum side cover that is directly behind the timing belt(also contains oil pump and stuff). Replaced that whole plate assembly with one from a junkyard, and ofcourse i replaced the timing belt while i was in there. Had everything marked with paint, had the belt nice and set with all the sprockets in the right spot under tension. Got new ac pump, lines, condenser expansion valve ect. Put everything back on, got it charged , ac works great.

So directly after i did all that, the car started to have this rough idle after start up, like it would hold the idle, then it would slowly drop till it started to die, shutter really bad, then catch itself and go back. If you tried to drive it before letting it warm up for a couple minutes it would suddenly give you 0 throttle response, then kick back in a couple seconds later, and do that a couple times. Its gotten gradually worse, now you have to let it idle for a good 10 minutes…its basically not safe to drive now.

A few weeks after starting this problem it set a code… P0013 camshaft b exhaust open, then a couple days later when it got really bad, a p0014 camshaft exhaust timing over advanced. It is also throwing random things like various 02 codes and trans codes, which i can only assume are not real, and just a trickle down of the p0013 and p0014 problems.

The wiring going to the solenoid was haphazardly twisted together and covered with tape. It disconnected the second i touched it. I fixed the connection with butt connectors certian that was it, cleared the codes…still terrible, codes came back immediately.

I have yet to replace the solenoid itself as we are hard on money till thursday, but ive gotten mixed results as to if this can be caused by the timing belt being off or not. I supposed i just need confirmation if it is or is not possible that its caused by the timing belt being a tooth off.
