I think you either have the wrong seal or a poor quality one. You shouldn’t be able to install it by hand. You should buy a seal from the dealer and install it with the tool designed to install it without damaging it.

Well it wasn’t easy by hand and I rubbed a little grease around it for an easier install, But yeah prob going to have to buy a dealer seal..

I forgot to mention, but make sure the shaft where the seal rides is in good condition. If it’s marked or grooved at all the seal will never stop leaking.

I was doing some searching online and other guys had the same prob and installing a dealer seal didn’t stop the leak anyways they said if you purchase a reman axle shaft witch I did, it could be the the reman axle is worn down where the seal sits and causing it to leak they said to either install a speedi sleeve on raman axle or buy a new axle not reman and it will stop the leak. what do you guys think about that?

Yeah…A new axle is a good idea. Just had a Mazda Tribute with a similar problem. I finally talked the management into a dealer seal as well as a new axle and the problem is solved.

When I had issues about the exact size of a part, I measured my suspect part and then went to the dealer with my micrometer to check the new part… If you have a local Honda dealer that has one in stock, I would go to the parts department, explain your situation and ask if you can measure the shaft…. If you are nice about it, they will probably let you do it…

Also, I have seen issues with non-OEM seals not working correctly… I always recommend OEM seals for these repairs… Since you installed it by hand… I would suspect the seal still…

Update! I ended up putting a sleeve on my Reman CV axle and it seems to be holding up so far, haven’t seen any leaks anymore. If anything changes i’ll get at ya’ll, but I think I fixed it!
