Hi Eric,
Honestly thank you for answering my questions on brakes and guiding/navigating me through to your website. I really like its new design and it should win over a lot of new followers.
I just reviewed the ‘how-to winterize your vehicle’ vid. Now, I remember when servicing my Honda at the dealership they’d do an “inspect & lubricate” once a year (+75$ cad). I’d see this white substance on the hinges (lithium grease?) and a Calcium treatment under my car (neutralizer?). In addition, I have my car treated with oil once a year (they make insert holes in the metal body).
MY QUESTION: Do you do anything personally to protect your cars from rust? Also, how do I protect/lube the door hinges and the liftgate arms like they do in a dealership? What products do you use and what other areas do you pay special attention to when it comes to protecting a car’s metal from the external elements? Lastly, can rubber bushings/weatherstrippings be protected?
Maybe you can answer this on your live blog?! Cool show.
Watch out for this super hero:Nick
PS. I have had issues with rainX (which I like) causing my wipers to ‘chatter’/skip.
