Ok I have a 2000 ford f150 5.4 XL 7700 and I was tightening the axle nut or the nut in front of the wheel bearing on the front right side and I accidentally torqued it too much till I broke the threads now it just spins and YES I’m embarrassed i thought it was like an axle and needed more torque than it actually needed but no this apparently doesn’t need THAT much torque so i Don’t even know how to find the part to replace because i don’t even know what its called It is the Part that connects to both the upper and the lower control arm on a rear wheel drive vehicle that the wheel or axle nut also screws onto holding the wheel bearings and the rotor in place. What exactly is this part called and maybe i’ll get lucky and just need a new wheel/axle nut but i also don’t know where to find that. Is there any kind of trick i can pull here or can i just rethread the axle or spindle? I really don’t want to replace that whole hub thing but i think i might have too. I’m also really sad this happend I’m having a bad day.
