I have a 67 Corvette (327/300) mostly original with a Holley 4160 carburetor and I’d like to learn how to adjust the carb and perform a tune up. I am completely ignorant on such things and would like some video guidance on them. Can anyone give me suggestions/links to them? I see that Eric does not have such a video(s) but I’d sure like to see him do them

If that is the original carburetor then it is pretty simple. Buy a kit. Look over the exploded drawing until you understand where all the parts go. Remove all the rubber and plastic parts – anything that carb cleaner will damage or dissolve. See if the adjustment instructions make sense to you. Don’t try removing choke or throttle plates. Notice where any ball checks go. Soak, rinse with water, blow out with compressed air and put the puzzle back together. Don’t force anything.
thanks ! I already got the exploded view and corresponding parts list. Any good links to instructional videos for tuning this beast??
If you have a kit with instructions it should include settings taken right from the service manual. Beyond that, and every carburetor needs a little “beyond that” it is it is tweaking the idle screws and maybe the choke depending on how the engine responds to the base settings.
Eventually, if you find you enjoy this sort of thing you will find yourself changing jets and or power rods. I remember books on the subject so I assume there is also video. I had a book on the Q-jet.
