      I’ve learned that as a car ages, your oil should change as well.

        I’ve had Civics and Accords over 400k km, always used synthetic 5w-30 in summer, 5w-20 in winter, never had a problem. Climate here maxes out at mid 90’s in summer.

              115k miles on my Civic and synthetic 5w20 only. No issues.

                and 5w30 performs worse in cold conditions. your engine was designed for a certain oil so use it!
