Oil Pump/Rear Main Seal replacement

I am installing new seals for the oil pump and rear main. I don’t have the special Honda tools that the manual is showing. I am wondering if the seals can be pressed in too far? On the main seal I pressed the main seal in until it bottomed out cup side to motor. The oil pump seal I pressed in until it bottomed out on the pump that backed it off just a bit until the pump moved very free.

Am I going to be ok with the seals installed the way I described?

The seal should be installed flush. Eric says so as well. But if its not leaking. That means you did it right.
