have you checked the oil dipstick readings? the oil light usually means low oil. any leaks from the bottom of the engine? oil pan? oil cooler?

twice a week normally, but sometimes more when the oil light comes.

what about blue fumes coming from the exhaust? anything like that?

but if the oil is full and you check it twice a week, no leaks either, it could be very well the oil sensor is glitching up, but yeah, the only other thing i can think of the oil is maybe slowly burning in the combustion process

nope just the normal white exaust when the car is started in the cold, goes away after a few min . oil light comes on usually only at idle or when i shift outta park, the car usually stalls a few seconds after the light turns on . but then starts up fine and light is out . its kinda confusing.

It’s sound sensor problem. So car computer will stop automatically a car when the red oil light come on. Red light on the dash It’s critical issue. So, It’s highly possible the car shut off Itself. But check if you find rust connection and loose connection on the sensor first .

Check the oil pressure, with a gauge.

I would advise checking the oil pressure with an external oil pressure gauge. If you find you have an oil pressure issue after doing this I would recommend replacement of the engine over trying to rebuild it. The cause of low or fluctuation oil pressure is usually worn out bearings as I show in this video.

oil pressure is on the cards for this one ? check the pressure and if it is low i would recommend you don’t bother trying to fix it as this often ends up with empty pockets and bank account and still no fix their could be hundreds of reasons why the oil pressure is low and to find it usually means a full engine rebuild by professionals you may well find a shell barring worn out but don’t just replace it as without regrinding the connecting parts they usually go bad again within a mile or two.
