Oil pan stress cracks

I noticed draining the oil that the oil pan looks like the shell of a hard-boiled egg after being dropped; iow, a pattern of stress cracks but no sign of impact (like a dent). Perhaps this is normal? I’ve searched for a TSB on the issue but I find nothing.

My instinct is to replace the oil pan. I cannot find explicit instructions detailing the procedure.

      Thoughts, suggestions?

Depending on how deep-drawn the pan was in manufacturing, and the exact strength and annealing of the metal, you can end up with lots of alarming stretch marks. Pretty much harmless as the oil pan is not under any stress at all, it has no structural function, besides being able to withstand an occasional rock ding.

If its not leaking I would leave it.

hard to believe those cracks are insignificant.

they look like they are probably casting marks. They are standing out more because of what looks to be an oil leak higher up.
