i was changing the oil on my 2004 Mbenz C230 and I found a trace of oil around the oil drain plug, mbenz has a plastic cover under the oil pan and it was dripping on it so I didn’t catch it until the oil change but the leak was very small that it didn’t cause any issue. So I drained the oil, the plug was tight ( I think I overtightened it last time as I didn’t use a torque wrench) and the thread doesn’t appear to be stripped and the plug look ok. I changed the oil, put a new washer and torqued the plug properly this time and didn’t install the plastic cover to keep an eye on it. no signs of any leak for three days now, should I still be concerned about this or consider the problem resolved and put the plastic cover back on ?

Sounds fixed to me. I would have done the same thing.
