        Quoted From EricTheCarGuy:

They aren’t that heavy but as I said in my last post if you used sealant on the oil pan gasket you could have caused the leak, the oil behind the cover is quite normal with an oil pan gasket leak as the oil tends to collect in this area, also there is no ‘oil’ in the clutch assembly if it was leaking from the rear it could be the rear main seal but once again I can actually SEE the orange sealant all around the outside of your oil pan, I would suggest removing the oil pan, cleaning the area and installing a new gasket without sealant.

Do you use a touch of Hondobond on the corners? Or just put the gasket in, as is?

The orange stuff is gone (from the original owner) that is from the old pic lol. I changed and still same no liquid gasket around but only on the corner and stuff like in the service manual said to put on.

I’m in a process of removing the axial to pull the transmission out, Can you give me some tips?
maybe you should do a video about tips to find oil leak 🙂

myhonda99, When you removed the flywheel cover did you notice if the flywheel had oil on the back of it it? I have oil on the inside of the flywheel cover but nothing on the back (opposite of clutch plate side) of the flywheel.

No mine don’t have oil on the back of it. None of the oil get into the clutch assembly like Eric said 🙂 it just spill down and came out the little hole on the cover.

Nice pics! Thanks for keeping us posted. The last thing I want to do is tell someone to take out the trans to replace that seal, I like to eliminate everything else first but from the looks of it you were dead on. Just be sure to put a little grease on the inside lip of the new seal before you install it as you don’t want to install them dry, also make sure you get it in there as even and flush as you can.

Thanks again for the update and keep us posted on the leak after you install the new seal.

                              All leak fixed. Thank everyone!

If you doing the same thing as me, you can keep the knuckle in just pop the lower control arm then the axial loose.
