Fuel pressure regulator is my guess.
Just can’t figure out how the fuel got into the charge line without hydro locking the the motor.
aka filling a cylinder then the intake manifold then carburetor then hat then inter cooler.

You can see raw fuel spit out of the carb during start up, and then it backfires through the carb and ignites.

Incorrect float adjustment, advanced ignition timing, incorrect cam timing, aggressive accel pump or lean mixture can all contribute to an under hood weenie roast.
