I am going to buy a scantool. I want something for reading codes and diagnosing problems. I want as much power and info for the smallest amount. I have come down 2 choices I think. The OBDlink MX bluetooth vs Bluedriver. I am interested to know if anyone has used these? I like the fact that the OBDlinkMX has the capability to read all 5 OBD-II protocols, plus SW-CAN (GM) and MS-CAN (Ford). But I think it requires expensive software to access the ford and gm codes. i also dont think it accesses the ABS or Transmission. I think my price range is about $100. I can get either for about $100. Please let me know what you think?

I have the BlueDriver for about 2 weeks now and it’s amazing. The app is free for ipad, iPhone, android tablets and phone. Repair reports are also free as I have all Toyoas and they’re all free. I tried it on my company work truck a Chevy Siverado and it threw some codes. I downloaded the repair reports and they were also free. You can also read live codes as well as snapshot.

So which (BlueDriver or MX?) did you pick and how do you like it? Seems like the software strategy is the big difference.
