        Hi markhogan,
There is a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) with regards to this year make and model. Looks like it could be related to the battery. What is the voltage (DC volts) of the battery? I would start there. Keep us posted.

        ) – with 2.8l, 2.9l, 3.5l or 3.7l engine (vin’s 6, 8, 9, e – rpo’s l52, lk5, llv, llr).

Awesome job finding that TSB BigC!

I would definitely load test the battery as well as load test the charging system which can be done for free at your local parts stores usually if you dont have thr equipment to help diagnose this yourself.

I Checked the voltage of the battery shortly after posting this finding that it sits at 12.6 volts engine off. With the engine running no accessories on it runs at 14.5 volts. I haven’t had a chance to load test the batteries yet because my load tester is in my tool box at work, I wont have access till sunday.

Thanks for the update on the battery voltage. I would double check all the connectors on the battery terminals as well. Any high-resistance at those terminals could produce electrical concerns. Keep us posted.

12.6V is right on the border of what a good battery should read, you really need to load test it in order to know it’s condition. You MUST do this before any other electrical testing as if you have a bad battery all other testing is a waste of time.

I cleared the code and drove it for the last 3 days and haven’t had any problems. But I will let you all know once I’ve had a chance to load test.

Just wanted to update on this…. I have since load tested the battery everything checks out good. Haven’t really experienced the code much lately. I have since cleaned my throttle but seeing as it has come on since then I’m not sure that fixed it.
