Think MAF cleaner would be the only thing I’d ever trust to try. If it’s that easy to get off I can’t imagine it lasting that long though..

Took it out and tested it and with the propane torch I got no voltage readings when I got it to glowing hot. No, I didn’t look for voltage with the 2 white wires for the heater circuit, used the black (output wire) and the grey (ground)wire to test for voltage betweei .1 and .9 V Gonna save the bad sensor and try the lacquer thinner cat clean out with it in, after that I’m going to convert the bad sensor into a pressure gauge to test catalytic converter back pressure as seen here.

Don’t think cleaning would help but seems to me that something that has a normal operating temperature upwards of 600 deg would not respond well to regular solvents. I would try what you use to clean spark plugs. We used a sand blaster in school but I haven’t cleaned one since.

Changed my icon to a happy face, problem solved. Didn’t clean the sensor as I found it to be a bad sensor that no cleaner is going to fix it. I’m happy.

Yeah, better to replace, especially with all the good coupons going around lately.

Yea don’t clean O2 sensors, they weren’t meant for that at all. If you find a bad one replace it, cleaning is not an option.
