Walk into work this morning (Tuesday) and before I even turn around there’s an SA there asking me why if I did a vehicle on a day when I wasn’t even in. I wasn’t in as per my schedule. Turns out the vehicle sat there at least most of the day and our “superstar” SA, we’ll call him Houdini, didn’t realize that a) the vehicle hadn’t come in and b) I wasn’t even in the building. The keys were no longer even there, turns out the lady showed up at some point after 6 and a salesman gave her the keys off our board. Thinking about it now, I’m not even sure why they have access to that area. Oh right, they’re on the right side of the “wall of caring”. So that was 8Am to 8:15AM. Not looking too good for me today. *sigh*

The SAs again…. On Saturday a sleezeball, er, salesman, around 1PM wanted accessories installed on a sold car and we “had them all” and he needed it by end of day, 5PM. Doesn’t bring the key’s or the car, I had to send the SA to fetch the keys and then find the car in our lot. It’s not the largest lot, but it’s still annoying more so at -40. Turns out we didn’t have half the parts, the parts guy was off in his own little world that day. Then they added a remote starter, which is like 2 hours, plus the 4ish hours of other stuff. I ended up just doing the remote start, finishing it a few minutes before 5, and leaving the car and other accessories in my bay and I made the mistake of assuming someone would have put 2 and 2 together to have someone do it. Nope. Nobody even asked me about it until around 10. Which worked out OK for me as I would have been sent home early otherwise, so I milked it. Hard. OK, maybe that was only an assist by our SA team.

I looked at a car a couple months ago that had a messed up ECT harness connector. I found a used one on a harness but the customer had “just bought the car” and decided that instead of paying the hourish to properly install the connector, that their time would be better spent returning to the dealer they purchased it from. Aside from the one I had already pulled off a used harness, the only way to get one is to replace the whole engine harness. It is not available separately. So a wiring harness showed up today and nobody had a clue why. So I get interrogated about it and the only explanation I can come up with is that I must have had it priced out. Turns out one of our parts geniuses got an appointment form our call center and just ordered the harness. Apparently Honda’s covering it but the original issue is that the connector had been spliced on at some point, poorly. We may end up eating it.

That’s not even including my blown turbo, exhaust side oil leak. BS from a previous employer, over a year later and I’m still getting screwed. Apparently an employer can do everything short of actually “firing” you and bear no responsibility. They can threaten you with theft of property and assault, but if they don’t say “you’re fired” you’re fucked.
