Fix one problem, and its another :/ . I just got back from the parts store getting a code read to verify the P0420 code which I assumed would come up. Pretty sure the cat is bad as I think I’m hearing a familiar rattle while accelerating back when I had my 89 Daytona. However I was stunned when the reader picked up the ABS codes. I knew about C1225 but I got a C1218 as well.
c1218 – pump motor circuit shorted to voltage or motor ground open.
This is rather confusing and not sure how to read this. On the weekend I can attempt to disconnect the main connector (what fun) and verify that its getting voltage and ground and see if that fixes it but if it doesnt, what then?

You ought to be able to check for a good ground at the pump , likely on the brake master cylinder with a DVM or volt meter. You can also check for power and or listen for it running on startup. Do you hear it running too often? Do you still have abs?
Also, if you could please post the make and model of your vehicle, it may help us increase the accuracy of our replies!Turns out I seem to have killed two birds with one stone. When I got home I felt around for a ground strap, made sure it was secure and all that. Got in my car and ABS light shut itself off, indicating that it fixed it. Drove to work (45 miles away) and nothing. no C1225, no C1218, it seems to have fixed it. If it comes on again I’ll likely replace the ground strap/and or touch up other ground points.
Its an 05 Impala.
