Hello everyone,im happy some issues with the ac on my 95 integra ls..
during the night it performs okay, but during the day i am not happy with the ac temp during sunlight hours,i live in miami and its veeeery hot n humid right now..
i did the ac performance check and got interesting results, with the recycle button off i only dropped from 87 degrees to about 70-69 degrees…i performed a pressure test and only got interesting results after running for about 5 minutes the the ac on my low side seemed a little low, less then 30 psi, while the high side seemed a little high,at about 200 psi….i thought it could be a possible blocked expansion valve but when i accelerate the engine the low side drops quickly and comes back up when i let go of the gas…so im a bit baffled any feedback will be appreciated,im going to attach two pictures, the pressures with the ac off and on thanks in advanced

that seems low, unless the temperature outside was in low. I would recommend watching all of Eric’s vidoes on HVAC:

Very informative and can help you on your way to an informed diagnoses.

I would suggest that your system is low on charge.

I should also add for the first couple minutes the pressures were about 40 on the low side and about 250 on the high side, not sure why it would go down after a couple minutes of running

The pressures start higher due to the system start up and air temp load
being high.after a few minutes the air load decreases and pressures come
down.I see that you have a set of manifold gauges.do you have R134a and a
              scale?

Thanks for that information and yes i do have r134 freon and a digital scale

since you have a scale and refrigerant. you could recover the system
charge.evacuate the system and weigh the entire charge in and be done.
option 2 would be to hook up the gauges. weigh in 4-6oz see if the cooling
gets better.if it does your on the right track.I don’t think your charge is
                    that far off.

Thinking about adding a bit of uv dye to check for small leaks, also what do you think about red angel ive been hearing it works very well

use a dye that can be seen with a black light.

Honestly those pressures look normal, the low side could be a little lower and the high side a little higher if I’m honest. You might have a slightly low charge. Check the cooling fan operation, they BOTH need to come on with the AC. Since you’re running 134 in an R12 system it won’t cool as well and leaks around the fittings are common. You might try injecting a little dye and adding a small charge to the system to see if cooling improves.
