Hi Eric,
i went through your forum and found it handy interms of getting idea for maintenance by our own.
I am here to find out solution for noisy Right Rear brakes for which details are as following:
Car Model: Chevy Malibu 2011 (4 Cylinders), Original Break Pads changed 8 months ago on Rear both sides.
After replacing new break pads initially i heard noise while applying breaks which is kind of scrapping noise (on rear right wheel only). Mechanic took out break pads, rubbed it and re-installed three times. After this practice, noise disappeared for a day only but came back again.
After 2 months of 3rd re-installation, i found that noise disappeared with appearance of new noise. This time noise comes up while driving forward (like bubbling or scrapping) and as soon i touch break paddle its mute. Also when i drive constantly for 40km or so without breaks, noise disappears. But it comes up again as soon i start my car after parking. Mechanic is unable to help me in this issue.
Please help.
